Kent Employment Law (KEL) invites you to be a part of its ongoing Employer Forums, our resource for forward-thinking business owners and HR professionals.

For our October Forum, a panel of KEL lawyers and our guest Heidi Eaves, Principal at Project House Workplace Solutions, will lead a discussion on #metoo and issues relating to gender in the workplace.

When: Tuesday October 30th, 2018; 7:45 am – 9:15 am
Where: Kent Employment Law office, 1285 West Broadway, Vancouver BC
What:   Panel and group discussion

Coffee and a light breakfast will be provided.

The Forum will cover the following and more:

  • As the #metoo movement continues, what strategies exist to reduce liability for sexual harassment in the workplace?
  • How can employers support employees who are struggling with gender issues and create a welcoming and safe environment?
  • #metoo / gender issues can pose public relations challenges for businesses. We will discuss strategies for controlling the reputational damage internally and externally.

Attendance at this event is limited and by invite only. If you are interested in joining us, please contact Trevor Thomas directly at

Created for employers striving to “do good” for their employees, their communities, and the world, our Forums offer an opportunity to connect and learn from each other in an informal, relaxed setting. Through these meet-ups, we create casual conversations on difficult topics, bringing forward contributions from the perspectives of human resources, the law and plain-speaking business practicalities. Forum participants have an opportunity to contribute and ask questions, so that everyone can benefit from each other’s experiences.
