Blake has a unique combination of drive, ambition and kindheartedness – a mix that makes him ideally suited for the complex, people-centered world of employment law. Able to focus simultaneously on the means and the end, Blake skillfully guides his clients from problem to resolution without ever losing sight of the human side of workplace conflict.
Blake joined an established, full-service Edmonton law firm after law school and began managing his own busy caseload right out of the gate, running a general litigation practice that included employment, labour, real estate and estate law files. This experience juggling competing demands and varied interests prepared him well to advise our diverse business, HR and worker clientele.
Entrepreneurial and community-oriented, Blake brought together like-minded peers to form new clubs, managed fantasy sport leagues, represented the student body as a member of the Thomson Rivers University Society of Law Students’ Executive, and helped design a law school course in jurisprudence – all while studying law. He enjoys sports and athletics of all kinds, from hockey and football to chasing his two dogs at the park. A huge fan of the Oilers, Blake hopes his BC colleagues and clients won’t hold that against him.
