Kent Employment Law began in 2001 as Kent & Company, a one-person firm where Simon worked out of his home in Vancouver and held client meetings in a local café.
In these early days, Simon managed all aspects of the business, from billing to bookkeeping, from filing to photocopying. He also offered full-service legal advice, helping clients with estates issues, contract disputes, and business law questions.
Over time, Simon realized that he particularly enjoyed advising clients on workplace matters: it was challenging work, it involved real people facing everyday problems, and it allowed him to make a difference. Ultimately, Simon decided to focus exclusively on employment law and Kent Employment Law was born.
The More Things Change…
Today, the sign on the door continues to bear Simon’s name. However, Kent Employment Law is no longer one person working out of one office. Simon is now a member of the dynamic team of professionals and legal support staff serving all of BC from our Vancouver, Kelowna and Victoria locations.
And while firm management and client meetings may occur in a more formal environment than they once did, the personalized, attentive service that has characterized Kent Employment Law since day one remains.
