Paula is a people person. Easy to talk to and eminently relatable, her optimism is contagious. She has a natural talent for lifting her clients’ spirits while simultaneously keeping them grounded through the ups and downs that sometimes come with employment law disputes.
It’s perhaps not surprising then that Paula takes a collaborative approach to her practice. She particularly enjoys working with clients who are interested, engaged and keen to participate in the process of achieving their workplace objectives. When it comes to employer clients, she’s an ideal partner for those who view positive, constructive legal outcomes as integral to their business. Whether employee or employer, Paula keeps her clients updated and involved in their file through regular check-ins and “homework”. Having completed her law degree in French, Paula is fluently bilingual and available to advise her clients in both English and French.
Politically- and community- minded, Paula’s helping skills are not confined to the office. Having previously worked as a legal intern on Parliament Hill, her more recent contributions involve organizing candidates’ debates in Vancouver’s by-elections. A former swim instructor, Paula now focuses her water activities on scuba diving and her short-term goal is to continue to explore the Pacific Northwest waters.
