Paula Krawus Presents at CLE Human Rights Conference in Vancouver (November 2019)

The 2019 CLEBC Human Rights Conference is happening November 14  and 15 in Vancouver. Speaking from a paper she co-wrote with lawyers Richard Johnson and Wendy Woloshyn, Paula Krawus will be part of a panel discussing the extraordinary remedies (i.e. other than “injury to dignity damages” or ITD) available to employees through BC’s Human Rights Tribunal. Specific topics will include:

  • An overview of Tribunal ordered remedies such as equity programs, making available opportunities denied, and lost wages/expenses;
  • Case law trends; and
  • Tools available to Human Rights practitioners and practical and strategic considerations when addressing costs, settlement enforcement mechanisms, and improper conduct applications.
