Michael is our Northern specialist. He has spent the last 20 years assisting clients in Nunavut and the Northwest Territories and has recently expanded his practice to the Yukon. Employment law in the North brings unique challenges and Michael has extensive knowledge to navigate and resolve these issues to ensure favourable outcomes.
Michael is also a labour law specialist and has handled hundreds of grievances both in the private and public sectors. Not only has he conducted hundreds of arbitrations as union counsel, he is also a Qualified Arbitrator and brings that additional perspective to his work.
As a senior litigator, nothing fazes Michael. Regardless of the complexity of the case, Michael has an innate ability to focus on the essential issues rather than the unnecessary “noise” that can come with legal disputes.
Michael’s perspective is always predicated on “return on investment”, recognizing that each case has an economic value that must always be strategically considered with his clients. As such, he uses his extensive experience to maximize results for his clients.
Michael has played competitive rugby for over 38 years and brings that mentality to his work: warrior on the field, gentleman off the field.
