Poonam is dedicated to helping navigate employment issues with practical and strategic legal advice.
Born and raised in Surrey, Poonam earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University before obtaining her Juris Doctorate from Thompson Rivers University. Poonam was called to the bar in 2024.
Prior to joining Kent Employment Law, Poonam held a general civil litigation practice, giving her a broad range of knowledge and a strong foundation in advocacy. She has appeared before the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia and various tribunals. Despite her diverse litigation experience, Poonam is committed to a holistic approach and strives to achieve cost-efficient and tailored resolutions that align with client goals.
Poonam is fluent in Punjabi.
Outside the office, Poonam enjoys staying active, enjoying BC’s outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
