Ali’s background is anything but traditional, and that is one of the things she values most about the path that led her to Kent Employment Law. Before entering the legal world, she spent more than ten years working in Vancouver’s film industry in both creative and administrative roles. While she enjoyed the fast pace and problem-solving that came with the industry, she found herself wanting to do work that felt more connected to helping people in a meaningful way.
That desire eventually led her to volunteer in the emergency department at Vancouver General Hospital, where she spent five years supporting patients and families during some of their hardest days. The experience taught her how much compassion, patience, and reassurance can matter when someone is feeling overwhelmed or uncertain — lessons she carries with her every day in her role as a receptionist and intake administrator.
What drew Ali to Kent Employment Law was the firm’s people-first approach and genuine commitment to advocating for employees with empathy and integrity. She is proud to be part of a team that works hard to make clients feel informed, supported, and cared for throughout the legal process.
Outside of work, Ali can usually be found spending time with her partner and their four very spoiled cats — Junior, Tony, Rainy, and Garbage — or hunting for vintage fashion finds, swimming, enjoying the sunshine, and saying hello to every dog that crosses her path.
